The first Hero Mushling name vote is here!
We need your help deciding its name! This poll will end next Wednesday due to PAX Unplugged coming up. The next name poll will be Thursday morning instead of Friday, because we will be exhibiting at PAX Unplugged! Just click on the image of the unnamed Lion's Mane below to go to the poll thread on BGG!
This means that the board will now have a linen finish as well (front and back)! Again that is for BOTH EDITIONS of the game. Coming up next, we have a linen finish on the Deluxe Box ONLY (this is the only stretch goal that applies to just the Deluxe Edition). Thank all so much for the continued support, and I hope those in the US had a lovely holiday!
Stretch Goal suggestions
Thank you all for throwing Stretch Goals ideas out there on the last update! We have discussed with our manufacturer, and we think we may be able to include ANOTHER set of meeples. We don't know exactly where this will fit onto our Stretch Goal timeline yet, but we really want to do it. We think it will be awesome to play the game with 3 unique Mushling Meeples as your gathering squad. Therefore, we are most likely going to only include 1 of the new Meeple designs for each colony, meaning just 4 unique meeples as an add-on (not another set of 12). What do you all think of this?
Also we really like the idea of a player marker, especially for 2 player games, so we are looking into that as well! I think this is something we can include.

Stretch Goals Unlocked!
2 Stretch Goals have been unlocked! Custom plastic inserts and Linen Finish on all cards! I'll be honest. I'd be incredibly sad if the cards didn't have a linen finish, so I'm very relieved to see it unlocked already. We will also be working on the insert design during the campaign, and can hopefully share an image of that with you before or shortly after the campaign!
Coming up next...
More Linen Finishes, as far as the eye can see! After that we have additional Hero Mushling Cards to BOTH EDITIONS of the game. If you guys have any ideas of what you'd like to see for Stretch Goals, comment them below! We can't believe it's actually a possibility that we can surpass our current last Stretch Goal, in which case we will try and add more. Depending on what it is, it may even be possible to insert new Stretch Goals in between the later goals. If you guys want it and we can pull it off, I'm open to it!
Mycelium Live Tonight!
Abi Toads and I will be hopping on the beginning of Board Game House's Twitch livestream tonight at 7pm EST for a short interview. Then Board Game House will be playing Mycelium LIVE! We'll be watching!

That's incredible! This is only our first game, and it means the world to us that you've decided to give us a chance. Thank you all so much for your support and we look forward to getting these little Mushlings in your hands as soon as we can!

Participate in our Hero Mushling Name voting each Friday! Hopefully we can reach most of our Stretch Goals if we can keep this momentum.
What's a Stretch Goal?
Stretch Goals for board games are upgrades and sometimes new components that get added to the game at higher levels of funding. Once we reach a Stretch Goal, that upgrade is "unlocked" and all Stretch Goals before that also are applied to the game! For Mycelium: A Mushling Game, our Stretch Goals are admittedly less exciting than other campaigns I've backed, but that is because we wanted both editions of the game to have high quality content right away! For example, we could have made the variations included in each copy of the game added as a Stretch Goal or even available as an expansion, but we wanted to include these variations as we feel the game should be the best it can be right out of the funding goal! I personally love games that come with optional modules to mix and match in your gameplay, and I especially love it when they come in the regular ol' box!
What the Stretch Goal list looks like!
As you can see, a Custom Plastic Insert is up next, followed by a Linen Finish on ALL cards. The insert will keep your pieces organized and make sure everything fits nicely in the box! While the Linen Finish gives the cards a nice high quality feel.
Add-on PSA
Also, I see a lot of you backing the Deluxe Edition and also getting both add-ons. I just want to highlight that the Deluxe Edition already includes both of those add-ons! We appreciate the extra support and you are more than welcome to get doubles of those add-ons, but if you'd only like to have 1 of each add-on (Captain Mushlings and Deluxe Hero Mushlings), you DO NOT need to add them if you are already getting the Deluxe Edition!
