There's still a decent amount of backers who have not provided an address or provided a card to pay for shipping. We are starting manufacturing right after the pledge manager closes, so I can not guarantee rewards to any backers who do not complete the survey by February 15th. If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://mycelium-a-mushling-game.backerkit.com. Last chance to make changes!

If you have completed the survey on Backerkit (thank you!), you have until the 15th to make any adjustments to your order. However, you will have until we are ready to begin fulfillment to change your address. I will send reminders before addresses are locked, so don't stress if you plan on moving soon!

If you aren't a backer and are just snooping through these updates, Late Pledges/Preorders also close on the 15th!

Rulebook Concerns?

As we wrap up the technical details of our design files, the rulebook is the last to go. While we've been making edits on our end in this last week, I would love to hear any concerns or changes that you think would be helpful to have in the rulebook. Doesn't matter how big or small, even if it's just an opinion or personal preference. I want to hear it all! Link to the Rulebook below for reference.

16% of Backers Have Not Completed the Backerkit Survey Yet!

If you have not completed the survey by now, time is running out to do so! The Backerkit surveys close February 15th, and orders will be locked in. If you do not complete your survey in time, you may never receive your rewards. If you have completed the survey already, but want to make changes to your order, you also have 2 weeks to do so. However, you will have until fulfillment begins to change your address.

Insert Design Preview

I had the pleasure of working with Matt Healey who designed the insert for this game! Matt is a master of his craft and has designed dozens of inserts for other games. His designs not only keep things organized, but make setup faster as he will take the time to understand the rules of the games he designs for. I even got to meet Matt in person at PAX Unplugged and show him the game, so he really knows what's going on with Mycelium's components. If you are looking for someone to design an insert for your board game, I highly recommend Matt Healey (website).

Here is a preview of the design! Some details will change, like rounded corners and such, but this is the final layout of the insert.

There is room for all cards to be sleeved! Each colony color has it's own spot for wooden piece storage. I even 3D printed this design at home, so I can test how easy it is to pull things out of the box. While the Deluxe Edition is almost completely full with components, there will be space in the box for those of you who got an extra 12 Add-On Gatherer Mushling meeples :)

Progress Update

File verification is underway as our manufacturer returns from CNY! We should still be on track to start the manufacturing process around February 15th, when orders lock in. If everything goes smoothly and as planned, you'll be getting your games much earlier than expected! But I'd bet there will be a delay somewhere down the line, which is why there is an October ship date estimate.

Respond to the Backerkit Surveys to Receive Your Rewards!

Time is running out to fill out your survey, provide an address, and pay for shipping! You will NOT receive your rewards if you do not respond by February 15th! Late pledges/preorders do not require a survey, but all backers do.

Penny Bun Plush

As many of you may already know, Abi Toads frequently works with Makeship to bring the adorable Mushlings to life in a huggable form. We saw many comments asking for plushies, so we wanted to let you all know that today is the launch of the Penny Bun plush on Makeship's website! Makeship is similar to Kickstarter in that all plushie campaigns are crowdfunded. This is my favorite Mushling by far so I am super excited to have a real Penny Bun of my own :)

All Backerkit Surveys Should be Sent!

All backers should have received their survey invite through the email associated with their Kickstarter. If you have not received it please let me know as soon as you can. You must respond by Febraury 15th to receive your pledge rewards! It is a quick process requiring no login. We are already at 68% of surveys completed, so most of you are already on top of it :)

Common Issues/Questions

While many of you caught previous updates about how the Deluxe Hero Mushling add-on and the Captain Mushling Mini Expansion are already included in the Deluxe Edition of the game, some backers still have these add-ons in their cart in addition to a Deluxe Edition game. If you'd like me to remove these 2 add-ons from your cart, I have no problem doing so. The $10 saved gets applied to your shipping/tax cost, so it really is no trouble at all. Just email me at [email protected] and I'll get that sorted for you.

Users who signed into Kickstarter using Apple ID will most likely be missing their survey email because it will be sent to a strange appleid email instead. Please email me at [email protected] with a screenshot or some other confirmation of your pledge and I can change the email that Backerkit sends the survey too. All backers should have received their survey now! If you don't have the survey for any other reason please let me know.

Update on our progress

While our manufacturer is off for CNY, we are still able to finish and upload design files for file verification. Our goal is to have everything uploaded before they come back from vacation (should be no problem), and then we should be able to get started on the pre production copy around the same time the surveys close. Probably the last file we will upload is the rulebook, since we want to take our time with it and get a few more proofreads on it. If anything seems incorrect or even just rubs you the wrong way in the rulebook, I'd like to hear about it in the next week or 2!

Pledge Manager Invites Incoming!

The smoke test went well and I've sent surveys to all backers! You should receive your survey email before January 16th, and you have until February 15th to respond. You must respond to receive your rewards!

Backerkit is the platform used to finalize your order. No account is necessary to fill out your survey. You only need to follow the link included in the email from YadCo Games (with a backerkit.com email address). Backerkit will allow you to:

• Review your rewards
• Provide/change your shipping address
• Add more items
• Pay shipping

Surveys

All backers should have their surveys before January 16th. If you don't receive a link by that time, email me at [email protected]. You have until February 15th to respond. You may make changes to your survey before they close, but you may change your address until we are ready to start fulfillment. If you ever lose your link, you can request a new one here by clicking "Lost Your Survey?": https://mycelium-a-mushling-game.backerkit.com/faq

All add-ons and items should be in your cart already. Your cards will be charged for any Backerkit balances later, a few weeks before shipping. I will keep you updated on when exactly that will be so you know to expect the charge.

Upgrading Pledge

If you did not pledge to receive a reward, but would like to upgrade your pledge, this survey is your chance to do so! You must change your pledge level to either Standard or Deluxe in order to add a copy of the game to your order. Below is an image of where to click to do that.

If you already move past this page, don't worry, you may still change your pledge level by clicking on your pledge level and selecting change pledge level.

Shipping Costs

I was able to keep all shipping cost accurate to the estimates shown in the table! If something doesn't match up right, please let me know and I will correct it. There should be no surprises.

Retailers

All verified retail stores will also receive a link to the pledge manager. If you haven't verified your store location yet you must do this first! Shipping will be charged later depending on the order, so we can get a more accurate shipping cost.
